Hear my story
Rashaun Nichols, professionally known as SNG, is an independent hip-hop artist and owner of SNG Music Group LLC. Originally from Asbury Park, New Jersey, and now based in Jonesboro, Georgia, SNG creates melodic, streetwise music built from real experiences.
“My music is my life story. Every lyric I write comes from something I’ve lived, witnessed, felt, lost, survived, or learned from.”
Growing up without much guidance, SNG had to find his own way. For a period of his life, the streets became his teacher. He hustled, sold drugs, and made choices he is not proud of because that was the life he knew at the time. After being betrayed by people he considered family, SNG became the victim of a home invasion and was shot in the back of the head by someone he once considered a brother.
He survived—but surviving physically was only part of the battle. The shooting left him dealing with physical changes, damaged self-esteem, and a dark period that forced him to rebuild his life. Music became his way forward: a place to turn pain, survival, loyalty, loss, love, and hard-earned lessons into something meaningful.
SNG personally writes every lyric and develops the stories, concepts, emotions, and creative direction behind his music. As an independent artist, he also uses AI-supported production tools, including Suno Studio, to help shape instrumentals, vocals, and sounds around his vision. The experiences, writing, decisions, and SNG brand remain his own.
Through SNG Music Group LLC, he is building more than a catalog—he is creating a future from everything he survived.
“I survived my past. Now I’m creating my future through music.”
